Notes
  • New movie coming out? Time for a rebranding I guess!
  • This story is set between Dark of the Moon and Age of Extinction, and revisits the Ark on the Dark Side of the Moon
  • As usual with Titan, the series uses the new character models for the characters, and not the appropriate (for this point in time) older ones
  • Drift has only been an Autobot since some time in the past 5 years
  • Knucklehead is implied to be part of the Decepticon invasion team on the Moon, but was murdered before he could be deployed
  • This issue comes with either and Optimus Prime or Breakdown figure as part of a collection of 9 figures released in thee first 5 issues of the comic. These seem to be re-releases of a Columbian promotion figure set, but still very cool :)

Plot
10 Million years in the past, Galvatron slaughters the Headmasters during the first civil war. After his victory, he is approached by Alpha Trion, who offers him Cybertron itself.
4 Months ago from the present, the Decepticons, now under Galvatron's command have returned from their meeting with the EDC, and Galvatron doesn't understand why they don't just conquer the planet and take what they want that way. Soundwave tells him that the best method is to be straight with the humans, since they seem to be the only survivors of the war.

In the present, Devastator has been formed, and he challenges Galvatron to a battle, who seems excited to finally have a challenge. The Decepticons all converge on Devastator, whilst the Autobots try to get the humans to safety.
From a short way away the EDC are angry that the Decepticons are breaking protocol, and about the Cybertronian exposure, they discover that Soundwave has erected a dampening field to stop the exposure from spreading, and that he at least is trying to contain the situation.
Faireborn contacts Skywarp and tells him to transport the Decepticons away, but he cant due to Soundwave's field, so Faireborn tries another idea, she sets off a "Mind Bomb" that only affects Cybertronian brain waves they have on file (the Decepticons) and weakens them, allowing the field to go down and Skywarp to teleport them away. The Autobots escape in Sky Lynx before the EDC arrive.

On their way back to the Ark-7, the EDC lock down the town to stop any news from spreading, whilst Optimus loudly scolds Prowl for his actions. Prowl defends himself by saying that he needed to try and expose them, as it was clear they wanted to be hidden for a while. He also wanted to see if the EDC would kill the civilians of the town to keep their secret (they aren't yet)/ All of which seems to disturb Optimus.
Arcee flashbacks to just after the trial of Megatron, when Prowl asked her what she thought about the newly arrived Female Transformers, and she admits to feel nothing for them. Afterwards she talks to Optimus about how Hardhead died and asked to go with him to Earth, as it seems to have an effect on their species.

Back in the present, Prowl, corroborated by Jetfire explain that the EDC's weapon appears to use a Cybertronian brain to work it. Meaning they have one in their possession somewhere, which they all believe to be Alpha Trion. Jetfire tracks down the originating signature to the Marshall Islands, where they head off to. Meanwhile, unknown to them, Scavenger has been spying on them, and sneaks off to send this information to Soundwave.

Notes
  • The opening scene of Galvatron shows us the Headmaster faction mentioned in Heart of Darkness
  • The notion of the 13 tribes is also hinted at here too, with the leader of the Headmasters being hinted at as being Nexus Prime (one of the original 13)
  • Galvatron's "barbarian" body is based on his original G1 toy
  • Galvatron seems to be very defensive over the idea that he has a master at several times here...I think he's trying to hide something....
  • Alpha Trion's speeder mode was first shown in the notes for the Ironhide mini-series, but not in the actual comics themselves.
  • The Decepticon ship in the present is designed to look like the Revenge from the 80's Movie. Very fitting with Galvatron as the Decepticon's leader now!
  • For some reason Prowl is the only one of the Devastator combination to have a "bloody nose"...maybe he's starting to become injured from the gestalt process?
  • Skywarp has been hooked up the the Decepticon ship and appears to control parts of it now, following his injuries that made him intangible in the past.
  • Since Devastator requires perfectly in-sync minds to form porperly, it seems unlikely that Scavenger could be a real spy, implying that either all the Constructicons and Prowl are siding with Soundwave now, or Soundwave is himself a double agent now, and the Autobots know about it.
  • Prowl has learned Chromia and Windblade's name, but not Nautica's...how insulting!

TFCC #57 - Alone Together Part 2: Perception

Writers: S. Trent Troop & Greg Sepelak
Pencils & Inks: Naoto Tsushima
Colours: Evan Gauntt
Letters: Jesse Wittenrich
Managing Editor: Pete Sinlair
Coordination: Phases
Plot
Transmutate is captured by the Maximals for her involvement in the Rebels releasing Dynobot, and is sent towards Garrus-16. On the way, the ship is destroyed and she is left stranded on a seemingly deserted planet.
She recovers the Navi Unit from her stasis pod and uses it for information (whilst it keeps trying to make her knock herself out so she can be recovered and arrested again). After a bit of searching Transmutate finds herself in the shadow of Rampage, who appears to want to hurt her.
Characters
Maximal
Transmutate - Motorcycle
Bigmos - Weird Comet (Flashback)
Windrazor - Fighter Jet (Flashback)
Ironhide/Santon (Flashback)
Great Convoy? (Flashback)
Botanica - UAV (Flashback)
Maximal Security Force - Flying Cars (Flashback)
Dynobot (On Poster only)
Other
Rampage - Space Jet
Navi Computer
Cryotek - Off-Road Vehicle (Flashback)
Buzzsaw? (Flashback)
Blue Guy (Mirage?) - Car (Flashback)
Notes
  • Some of the characters shown here aren't very obvious here. Such as the identity of the Convoy, if it's Ironhide or Santon next to him, who are with Cryotek and so on. I honestly can't even tell most character's factions so I'll have to guess!
  • Added to he existing new potential toys are Windrazor from Beast Hunters Dreadwing, Cryotek from Prime Bulkhead and a heavily modified Protoform Movie Optimus as Bigmos.
  • Transmutate's story on the planet is set during Rampage's last issue it seems.
  • The Navi unit apears to be based on the Navi's shown in the Japanese cartoon series'.
  • They're not clearly shown, but I think the Security Team is suing Beast Hunters Bumblebee with some added bits (made to resemble the Clocker model from their previous appearances)

Plot
During the Decepticon Invasion of Earth, Marissa was at Wall Street "Occupying" it, and ended up trying to save some business guy, whom sadly died from his injuries, but during the moment she realized that regardless of your money, everyone was equal in a situation like this, which is why she vowed to never let the  planet be invaded again.
In the recent past, she and a team of EDC troops are called to the South Pole for a meetup with Soundwave and Galvatron, who tell her that Earth's invasion was a mistake, and tell her that Megatron has sided with the Autobots, meaning that they are Earth's enemies now..

In the present Optimus, Jazz and Kup are surrounded by the EDC and Decepticons outside Thundercracker's home. Faced with no other option, Optimus orders the Autobots to fight the Decepticons, but to avoid harming the humans.
In space, on the far side of the Moon, Jetfire is trying to stop the Micro-bot weapons the ship was attacked by, and creates an aerosol of sorts to deal with them. He goes to sort out the whole ship, but instead finds the Micro-bots already mostly dead, thanks to the Constructicons, who reveal that Prowl has a plan to save the day.

On the planet, the battle isn't going well, so the Autobots decide to roll out to take the fight away from the humans. On the way they are met by Arcee and Sideswipe, who reveal that Prowl ordered them to back up Optimus and the others.
Prowl heads down towards Earth inside Sky Lynx, ready to put his plan into action.
He thinks back to last month, following the trial, where he is told by Optimus that he should come with him to Earth, since he seemed to lighten up there. Prowl orders the Constructicons to join him to the planet as well.

The Autobots head into a town, where they hope the Decepticons wont follow, since they don't want the humans to realize the Transformers are back on the planet, but the Decepticons follow anyway, and just pretend to be military personnel.
Marissa calls for them to back off, in case of human injury, and Thundercracker tells her that he told her this would happen, which she agrees to her being stupid here.
Soundwave tries to get the Decepticons to back off, but Galvatron refuses. Optimus is about to run and take the fight elsewhere, when Prowl and the Constructicons leap from Sky Lynx and merge into Devastator, and get ready to battle the Decepticons (and scare off a bunch of humans too)

Notes
  • The flashback scenes are drawn by their main artists again, Guidi for AHM, and Cahil for Dark Cybertron.
  • The timeline for the start of All Hail Megatron has been retconned to 2011, during the Occupy movement. This shows this continuity has a flowing timeline (not as bad as DC and Marvel have of course....)
  • Daniel Witwicky is show as the head of the EDC, no sign of Spike yet, which implies that he's on the run still.
  • Since Prowl could still make contact with the Constructicons, it's likely that either he's using a link they share due to their gestalt form, or Prowl was the one who jammed communications for his strange reasons.
  • The result of Megatron's trial is revealed to have some connection to "Transparency" and some "Ancient Law" according to Prowl in the flashback.
  • I predict that Faireborn seeing the Autobots alongside Devastator, ie the face of the Decepticon occupation, will mean bad news for Optimus and his team!
  • Marissa's mother is mentioned here, wonder if she'll be revealed as Lady Jaye?
  • Marissa seems to be very familiar with the Decepticons, as she knows Soundwave's name when he's just landed on the planet.
  • The Constructicons have scratched off parts of their Decepticon insignias, showing they are no longer with the Decepticons. Thundercracker still seems to lack an insignia too.
  • Whilst not clear, Neednose appears to be amongst the Decepticons on Earth, he is shown on the cover, and an obscured jet is seen in a couple of panels too.

IDW - Windblade #2

Letters by: Chris Mowry

Editor: John Barber
Plot
Following the explosion, Circuit and Longtooth are going around to get reactions from the people of Metroplex, but just annoy Blurr, who tells them to leave his bar if they don't stop annoying his clients. Meanwhile, Rattrap and Rattrap visit the medical facility to check on Windblade, who was injured during the explosion. During the visit, Starscream seems to threaten Windblade's life again, and she tells him to leave.

After the leave Windblade confides in Chromia that she thinks Rattrap caused the explosion on Starscream's orders as she found a detonator switch in the aftermath, but it's gone missing now. Unfortunately she realizes too late that she's been recorded by Longtooth and Circuit this whole time, but Chromia "escorts" them out of the room, with her axe. Windblade starts to freak out about what has happened, but Chromia warns her not to say anything else until she has concrete evidence against Starscream.
Soon, the duo leave the medical facility to visit Ironhide, who has been looking after Metroplex's brain during Windblade's injury. Windblade asks him about Starscream, and he says that she needs evidence as well, but he can't think of a reason why he'd want her dead, since she's helping to repair their city.

Windblade starts to think that the explosion MAY have actually been due to Metroplex's faulty systems, and tries askking him what is wrong, but she can't get a clear answer from him about it. Meanwhile Chromia and Ironhide have been looking into Circuit's news reports and find a clip of Waspinator saying that someone had warned him not to go too far into Metroplex. They decide to pay him a visit to find out who did so.

Chromia and Windblade soon arrive at Maccadams and find Waspinator, but he runs at the sight of the duo, Chromia quickly catches him, and he reveals that he ran because EVERYONE tries to hurt him, not because of guilt. Windblade tells Chromia to go back to the bar for a drink, whilst she talks to Waspinator alone. Waspinator refuses to tell her what he was told to stay away from, for fear of injury, but she convinces him to SHOW her instead.
The two head to Metroplex's filtration systems, and they find it being mined out by someone, which Windblade realizes must be being used to try and gather some of the Ores used by Shockwave during Dark Cybertron, which were in his systems. She assumes Starscream is involved of course.

Windblade and Waspinator fly out, unaware that they were being watched by someone. on the way back to the bar he ha Chromia gather up a posse, and calls Circuit to give him and exclusive story.
Back at the bar, she tells everyone what she's learned, and leads them back to the filtration systems, where the group is immediately attacked by what appears to be the Terrorcons.

Notes
  • This story begins JUST before the last part of the previous issue
  • Chromia' alternate mode is revealed here to be a speedbike of sorts, unlike her usual car alternate mode, and what was assumed of her, since she was revealed to have a toy being released soon that is a repaint of Arcee.
  • Waspinator's still convinced that everyone wants to hurt him...not surprising after all that's happened to him in the continuity so far huh?
  • The Decepticons seen at the end of this issue appear to be the Terrorcons using the Prime Abominus team Predacon toy's designs.
  • Chromia has a shield that appears to be formed from the windshield and roof of her alternate mode
  • Waspinator likes to drink the used Energon from Metrioplex's filtration systems.....ew....
  • Due to him being amongst the group rolling out in the end, we can assume that Circuit has an alternate mode, unlike his toy counterpart, but we can't determine which one it could be due to the size of them, he's probably a car though (base don his TFCC toy maybe?)
