Comic Plot

Megatron is holding Bumblebee, after tearing out his voice box and sees the Allspark launching off into space. He discards Bumblebee and begins to chase the Allspark, when the Autobots launch a tractor beam that stops him in place.

Megatron fights back, but is urgent to get to the Allspark, so he calls for Devastator to take care of the Autobots. Megatron chases after the Allspark himself now. Devastator launches a Foldspace Warhead that blasts himself, Ratchet, Ironhide and Jazz to different parts of the galaxy.

Comics Notes

• Liam Shalloo's name is misspelled "Laim" on the comic credits
• This comic has now been made incompatible with the IDW comics
• The Devastator character should be seen as separate from Brawl from the movie
• The Foldspace Warhead is later mentioned in the Allspark Almanac
• This story leads right into the "Lost in Space" story arc that lasts for the next four issues
• Megatron's appearance on the cover and poster are using his outdated early design, whilst he appears in his actual appearance in the comic proper
• This comic continues directly from the end of the previous issue.
• The Autobot's designs are similar to their ones from the movies, but simplified and misisng some notable vehicle parts.
• This was one of Nick Roche's first Transformers gigs.

Comic Plot

On Cybertron Optimus fights off a hoard of Dreadwings whilst guarding the Allspark, which is being prepared for launching into space. Megatron has been sending his troops everywhere to find the Allspark. Optimus wonders if he's doing the right thing by launching it, but then a Decepticon drone attacks the base and Optimus has to fight it, telling Arctus to launch it if he hasn't returned in ten cycles.

Optimus and the drone fight, but Optimus manages to destroy it with his alternate mode, but lands outside, knocking his head, when he comes to he sees a vision of the future where he sees the Cybertronian war on another planet, and then he sees the Allspark flying off into space.

• This comic could easily be in continuity with IDW, but I don't personally count it that way
• The Tank in the vision is either Brawl or the UK character Devastator...so I went for an either or option
• Optimus is designed to look like his Earth robot mode, despite his earlier bodies in all other media show it to be much different
• All the other Autobots in this comic are grey coloured generics, except Arctus
