TFCC #54 - BWSG Shattered Destiny

Writers: Benson Yee & Pete Sinclair with Matt Frank
Pencils & Inks: Evan Gauntt
Colours: Thomas Deer
Letters: Jesse Wittenrich
Managing Editor: Pete Sinclair
Plot
The Maximals attack Megatron in his Gigastorm armour, but their attacks do absolutely nothing, in response Megatron has his Predacons attack the Maximals all at once. Megatron confronts Magnus and demands he hands over the Matrix to him, but Magnus refuses, loads the Matrix into his cannon and uses it to blast open a dimensional gateway which sucks everyone nearby into it.
Magnus and Depth Charge get ready to leave through the portal too (how do they know where it goes? It could be oblivion fellas!!) but 2 other space ships fall through as well. Depth Charge tells Magnus to leave without him as he'll deal with the new arrivals. With that Magnus leaves, and the portal closes.
Depth Charge finds where one of the ships has crashed in a beautiful lake, when he lands though he's shocked to find a group of friendly looking Predacons led by a black, white and red Megatron....

In the future of the Shattered Glass Universe Aquarius and his small friend are confused as to why they are there and not where they planned to go (to the smaller robot's home instead of Aquarius') Aquarius assumes this may be "The Big Guy's" work, just as Ultra Magnus walks though a portal with the Origin Matrix, the final piece of the Star Saber!!

Notes
  • This issue took MONTHS to finally arrive for us international members...but it's here now!! HAHA!! I can put the Sharkticons away now!!
  • The Gigastorm armour is named here, and is shown to have Gigastorm's regular alternate mode too. ALSO, Megatron has seemingly merged himself with it, essentially mimicking Megastorm/Gigastorm from Beast Wars II even more.
  • I'm not really sure what happens towards the end here...Magnus' weapon seems to miss Gigastorm, yet he's surrounded by rubble after the dimensional rift is caused.
  • The Axalon and Darkseid have each other's normal colourschemes.
  • Seriously, we get to the end of "Beast Wars Shattered Glass" and the guys we expect to find appear on the very last page?!
  • The Predacons who emerge from the Darkseid use variants of their toy molds, upgraded versions, or new colourschemes for newer toys to make them slightly different from their positive counterparts.
  • Rhinox's profile shows that his toy would be a remolded Generations Darkmount with a crane instead of a cannon....sneaky new toy reveal perhaps?
  • I wonder if there's a purple monkey running around on the Axalon too?
  • In the Trivia Bonus section is is revealed that the Origin Matrix is actually the last piece of the Star Saber that Aquarius has been looking for
  • Due to Nexus Prime being taken over by Hasbro itself and not the Club it seems they've relegated his storyline to create the Star Saber to Aquarius in these side stories (most likely so it can be used in the main story for the big story arc that seems to be building up)
