Comic Plot
The Autobots come back from Cybertron to find their base under Decepticon control and are attacked on sight, they head off to Washington but are redirected for a meeting with the President at Andrews Air Base.
Optimus is separated from the other Autobots and is attacked by Jazz, who's been hired to kill Optimus. Optimus fights with Jazz and tries to make him see reason when a Decepticon appears to try and kill Optimus as well, so Jazz kills the Decepticon (Kullt) for trying to take his kill from him.
Optimus tries to reason with Jazz again, but the rogue Autobot just drives off, vowing to show Optimus that he's wrong about him. Later the President claims that he didn't have any knowledge of the meeting and that they must have been tricked, however Optimus realizes that Allen must be under Decepticon control, like Mikaela.

Comic Notes
- Jazz's storyline is never resolved...unless he was shipped off in the final issue as well....
- The Decepticons now have control of the Autobot's base
- Jazz has become a gun-for-hire since going rogue
- Hey look a guy with no toy! Guess how long he lasts?
- Jazz's two weapons are based on the different weapons that come with his Deluxe toys (basic Jazz and Final Battle version)
- Optimus finally realizes that Mikaela and Allen are under Decepticon control
- Jazz claims he hasn't been corrupted, but liberated by the Allspark
- If you look very carefully on the second comic page you can see some tiny Payloads on the ground.
- It's implied here that Starscream or another Decepticon at least hired Jazz for this job
