Comic Plot
In an alternate reality to the one we know, the Decepticons won in Mission City, Sam is dead and Optimus is missing. America has been conquered by the Decepticons as well.
Mikaela and Bumblebee travel around the city on a mission, meanwhile Megatron calls for Starscream and Dreadwing for a mission regarding the remaining "free nations" of Earth before they can try and stop him.
On the Moon, the Autobot's reinforcements are waiting for a signal from their Earth-based allies before arriving, unaware that they are being spied upon by Starscream via Scorponok.
In Denver Mikaela and Bumblebee attack Swindle, who is guarding a Decepticon base and break into the facility. Once inside they find Optimus frozen. Dropkick informs Megatron that they have intruders. Megatron says he'll deal with them personally.

Comic Notes
- This is the start of the Alternate Reality story arc that lasts until the end of Volume One
- Sam makes his only appearance in Volume One in this comic, in the "true" timeline
- Sam is mentioned as dead here, most likely he was killed by Megatron when he attempted to kill him.
- Bumblebee can speak normally here and has been paired up with Mikaela now
- Megatron has had more Decepticons brought in from space, and the Autobots have had reinforcements brought in too.
- The Autobot Reinforcements are Armorhide, Arcee, Elita One, Strongarm, Skyblast and Longarm.
- Optimus Prime was frozen in the former Sector Seven base like how Megatron was
- The drones on the title page are made up designs
- Earth is slowly being Cyber-formed by the Allspark into a replica of Cybertron
- Dropkick appears to be a higher rank than Starscream when Megatron is around (maybe as punishment?)
- It's revealed in a later issue that the reinforcements are in Entry Pod form at the moment.
